Look at her
Sitting quiet in the sky
Nobody down here to fly
Up to say hello
All alone
Sitting silent as she cries
But nobody even tries
To slow down and

Whisper to the moon
Tell her what she wants to hear and
Hear her whisper, too
Listen to the stories she can tell man
What man doesn’t know
Unless he listens to the moon

Lonely moon
Even if he were to try
Sad, but man could never fly
Up to where she stands
Selfish man
He’ll just stand and watch her cry
Take a glance, and then pass by
None but her understand
How it feels so I’ll

Whisper to the moon
Tell her what she wants to hear and
Hear her whisper, too
Listen to the stories she can tell man
What man doesn’t know
Unless he listens to the

Mysterious star
Far away from reach
Maybe she is happy
Far away from where we are
For man has nothing to teach
Or does he? What would happen if we’d

Whisper to the moon
Tell her what she wants to hear and
Hear her whisper, too
Listen to the stories she can tell man
What man doesn’t know
Unless he listens to the moon
This is a song I derived from a monologue of one of my characters in my story. It's an extended metaphor for herself. This is kind of thrown together, so it may not be as good as usual. Please tell me what you think!
